Kayla Berry, Principal

It is truly an honor to be your Principal at OVMS. I am excited to work with students, staff, and families to help our students be the best that they can be academically and socially! 

I began my educational career at WTHS as a student teacher for German. I was hired in 2016 to become the German teacher at CRMS and World Language teacher at TJES. In 2019, I received my certificate to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) and became the ESL teacher for OVMS while still teaching German at CRMS. In 2020, I was transferred to OVMS to continue teaching ESL and German. After completing my Master's of School Administration in May 2021, the next step in my career led me to become the Supervisor of World Languages and ESL (K-12)/Family and Consumer Sciences (Gr. 9-12). I served as a district supervisor until July 2023, when I became the Principal at OVMS! I am extremely proud to be a part of the OVMS community and call myself a Panther!

I am honored to be your Assistant Principal at OVMS. I look forward to working with all staff, students, and parents to foster academic and social success.

My connection to OVMS began as a student in the mid 90s. After attending WTHS ('00) then TCNJ ('04), my career in education started right here in 2004 as the Choral Director. After spending the last 10 years teaching and leading at WTHS, I am excited to return to OVMS once again as your Assistant Principal! 

I encourage all staff, students, and families to embrace #PantherPride not only as a school motto, but as a framework for success in any endeavor!
